Britt's Tattoo

I got this tattoo on October 6, 2006 the day after my birthday. I have wanted to get another tattoo for a long time and this was designed by Jen at Outer Limits Tattoo in Orange, CA. She did a great job, I love the details on the guitar. While I make my living in the music industry I admit I'm not much of a guitar player. So why the guitar on my arm? Well, I first got into music listening to country. I love telecasters. I love the sound. When I learned how to play guitar one of my friends had a telecaster very much like the one on my arm. Although I haven't talked to him in a very long time, he is probably responsible for the direction I took in music. (Rich Deems)Several other friends of mine over the years have had telecasters that look similar to the one on my arm. The telecaster reminds me of people, places, times, memories, music, things that make me smile. The red star on the telecaster, that's for my friend Bobbo. His band is called The Fallen Stars. The butterfly represents many things to me. Change, metamorphasis, blossoming, re-birth all of which are present in my life constantly. I have become a confidant and more outgoing person as I've grown over the years, which is very different from the shy and insecure girl I was just out of high school. So this tatto has meaning to me--and may just look cool to everyone else. What I think of it is all I really care about anyway.
