Knossos rehearses with unique instruments...

We love to see and hear a diverse range of styles and influences here at the rehearsal studios.  The group Knossos rehearsed with us tonight and brought some unique and interesting instruments.  Mr. Dann M. Torres is multi-talented and played all of the instruments on the group's last album.

ambient guitar - 6 & 12 string acoustic or electric, processed and manipulated in real time.
oud - arabic short necked lute
saz - turkish long necked lute
yayli tanbur - turkish long neck lute (bowed)
cumbus - turkish fretless resonator stringed instrument
cura saz - turkish small bodied resonator
sitar - indian stringed instrument
sitar guitar - buzz bridge electric guitar
kemenche - turkish bowed 3 stringed fiddle
setar - persian long neck lute
fretless bass - tuned for the perfect drone
tar - 16" frame drume of the mid east
darabukka--turkish goblet drum
bendir - snare fitted frame drum of northern africa
riq - middle eastern tambourine
tombak--wooden persian drum
pandiero - spanish frame drume with cymbals
kanjira - indian tension frame drum with 1 jingle
udu - clay based percussion pot with wet and dry tones
hadgini - clay based udu designed to mimic the indian tabla
treatments - digital effects and analog manipulators -an instrument in itself
